    What's in a Name?

    September 18, 2015
What we know about David can be seen in his actions and his thoughts.  David's early years will have molded his character and his world view.  What do you think of David?  If someone asked you to describe him, how would you?  What does he look like?  What does he act like?

So for through the book we have seen David go through a lot. I think that a boy who is 12 years old shouldn't be put through such experiences. I agree with callum when he said that David had a trait of perseverance;he had a goal and that was to survive and get to safety. David is a very strong boy who is very determined and smart and i think he wont have any problems surviving

What is David like? Well, if you ask me, he is a brave boy who can keep his mind on one goal. That goal is escaping from his labor camp. He wisely thinks about the things around him and what can benefit him. In truth, he is aa smart boy who knows how to take care of himself. David is able to find hope where there is none.

Personally I think David is a very smart and determined individual. I also think he is 12 too 14 years of age, David also has brown hair. He seems very polite and curious, and lives in a concentration camp. He does not know his parents and decided to run away from the concentration camp looking for freedom. So i also think he is very brave for leaving.

David is a 12 year old boy. He is tough because he survived his whole life is a prison camp. He is physically fit because he is able to walk and run a for long periods of time. He has self control to save his food for a long time even when he was starving. He is probably very sad because he had a hard life, plus he lost his friend Johannas.

David is a boy around 12 years old and when he was young he went to labor camp.He also lost both of his parents when he was young. One day he secretly left the camp and he is going to a safe place. So far in the book I think David is very self confident, independent and courageous. I also think he is very smart and caring to others.

David has been in a terrible labour camp where he would work harder then we could all think he could. David is a young brave boy. From chapters 1-3 David has shown many traits are special to him. He's smart, brave, courages, persevered, strong, fit, and determined. David has many good traits that help him survive in the wild and will help him keep away from the labour camp which is searching for him.

David is a 12 year old boy who has just escaped a labour camp. I think he is around 5"0 (because I am 4"11 and I am almost 12 years old). In the book it says David fit through a small hole, so I think he is slim. I also think he is very strong, because working in a labour camp for 12 years would probably make you strong. He is also very brave, I mean how many people would try to escape a labour camp... at the age of 12... and succeed, not a lot.

Well I would say that David has the trait of perseverance, but sometimes David needs encouragement to keep running for freedom. Also David has a grudge against the man because he keeps on thinking that everything is a trap because he thinks they are always going to get him. He also does not know much of the outside world.

I think that David is smart and caring because he can last all alone with easy instructions.I think that David would look like a confused boy because he has been in a camp his hole life.So if some one ask me to describe him this is how I would.

I think that David is a more quiet person and does not like to talk much. I also think that he is more like a calm person and he seems really smart. For David's appearance I think that he might be more slim but not skinny. His hair is probably messy and he seems obedient. Overall he seems like a nice young boy with a great personality.

We are reading a book called I am David in class. David is a 12-year old boy in labour camp in Eastern europe. He is mischievous, dirty and sneaky and wants to escape and run away. David is all ways alone expect for the man who helped him in labour camp. I liked the first chapter and I think you should read it to.

We have all been asked what we thought David is like. I think that David is a very brave and smart 12 year old boy. Not many people try to escape labour camps, even less succeed in escaping. He is very obedient and follows instructions well. It would have taken courage, endurance and faith to get to freedom. One of his physical strengths is being fit. How many people can climb up a wall, and walk or run for miles to be free. David is bold, smart, obedient, and so much more. Thank you for reading!

David is a boy that has been in labour camp for 12 years (his whole life). Me to he looks like a normal 12 yr old boy with brown hair, and a big imagination because didn't want to think at one point. He's also a little brave to put his own life in danger for freedom. He would be nice to because he tried to make friends with the sailor on the boat. And thats what I think David is like.
